A tad late

I know I am running behind.  I have been out of town and without camera or computer but not without stitching.  So here goes.

First up is the Angel for October.  She also worked as my Angel ornament for the Christmas SAL.  She is doing double duty this month for both SALs.  First is my version of the Angel, second photo is from the leaflet.

I did leave off the ivy.  I may go back and add it but if I do, it will be green (dark) instead of black.   I am still debating also if I want to do the outlining.  I'm really leaning towards not doing it.   As you can see, the leaflet pieces were trimmed in black.  I'm thinking of gold finishing instead.  Black doesn't sit well with me for Christmas.  I can justify the black robes because perhaps she was a Benedictine nun before becoming a nun an their robes are black.

This is the Santa from September.  I did finish him late - by the end of the first week of October.

And here is the next Santa that I am starting.  A boot so far.   Hopefully he will get done for November's stitching.   Each of these Santas are on 26 count, over one.  I tend to be rather slow on over one stitching but I love the size of them.

Until next month.

Beautiful stitching! I need to stitch that Santa. I love the Patriotic theme and my youngest was a drummer in the HS band.
