Cabin Pinkeep Prairie Schooler 2004 JCS Ornament issue |
Welcome to the Prairie Schooler SAL blog. This is a blog to celebrate our stitching of the wonderful designs from the lovely ladies of Prairie Schooler. Pamela and Nancy are retiring to take a well deserved break after 32 years of giving us cross stitchers the most wonderful designs and so much pleasure. The rules of the blog are simple: post a progress pic or a finish whenever you like, as long as it is a Prairie Schooler Design.

Cabin Pinkeep
I was having a look through one of the many JCS ornament issues that I own and came across this one which didn't fit the February Christmas ornie criteria but it was a Prairie Schooler design! A very quick but satisfying stitch, lots of straight lines. I switched the DMC 310 for a brown, I can't remember the number, not fond of stitching with black and thought brown more log cabinish anyway!
The sharp eyed among you will see that it's not a pinkeep either! Now to find another design.

Noni's Pumpkin Man now has a friend!
I was really struggling this month to choose a design for the Hallowe'en Ornie SAL, but then I saw the very "sweet" Pumpkin Man stitched by my dear friend, Noni, and I was hooked.
So, may I introduce you to a second Pumpkin Man?

Pumpkin Man... my first PS!
Hi there!
Well after months of umming and aahing and ooing over all the gorgeous Prairie Schooler designs that I see around blogland and on our very own blog... I finally did it! I stitched a Prairie Schooler design :o)
Let me present to you - "Pumpkin Man".
This design was published in the Halloween 2015 issue of Just Cross Stitch, and I have used the delightful Pumpkin Man as my February stitch on the Halloween Ornie Blog.
I may be late to the PS party... but now I am on a roll! I am about to start "Winter's Eve" so I will be back in a couple of weeks to show you my next PS finish (I hope!).
Till next time, happy Prairie Schooler stitching
Hugs xx

Deck the Halls .....
Hello fellow PS students,
Here is my latest PS finish (which I double-dipped and stitched for the Christmas Ornie SAL as well - this month's theme was Music)
Deck the Halls by Prairie Schooler, Book #81
32 ct Willow Linen, DMC threads.
I am really thrilled with the green floss on the willow green linen - it has worked really well.
However, in the spirit of full disclosure, I have made at least two errors. I wonder if you can spot them?
Uh oh! Big Ooops! The lovely Carol has pointed out a third error - I forgot Santa's belt! See the photos below for the finally finished version! Thanks, Carol!
Hugs, Kaye
P.S. Everyone has been lovely and said that they can't see the errors but there are two - top right corner and bottom right corner.
