I stitched this one from the "January" leaflet for a One Day Wonder challenge at the 123 MB.  It was a fun stitch and reminded me of all the sledding we neighborhood kids did during my childhood.  We had a lot of fun!

Winter Foursome

Hello blogging friends,

Kaye reminded me that I hadn't shown my latest Prairie Schooler finish here. It is one of the seasonal foursomes, Winter Foursome. It was a lovely stitch but as usual took longer than I thought it would take :)

You can find the pattern in the PS book 133 Winter Wind.

Enjoy your stitching,
Brigitte

The raven quoth "Nevermore" ....

A spooky hello to you all, here is my January Winged Creature for the Hallowe'en Ornie SAL, and it is a Finished Finish - double yay! - my first for the year. (Of course, me being me, I made sure I used a Prairie Schooler pattern.)

I made it up into a simple soft ornie.

I was lucky enough to find the perfect backing fabbie in my stash.

A close up of the stitching.

Design: Part of "All Hallow's Eve" by Prairie Schooler (Book *180)
28 ct linen "Rain"
Floss: DMC 310

A very quick, enjoyable stitch.

hugs, Kaye

Pipers

Music is this month's theme for a Christmas ornament sal I'm in so I chose the Piper from the 12 Days of Christmas leaflet.  I'm thinking of stitching all of the "days" separately to either make ornaments or little pieces to tuck in my cubby I bought from Pottery Barn.

I Have a Finish!

I have my first Prairie Schooler finish.  This is Autumn from their Four Seasons chart.  The fabric is actually a light brown but the rest of the colors seem to be true to life.  I really love this piece and hope I can find a standard size frame that will fit and is of a rustic flavor.  Now I need to decide which of the other three seasons I'm going to stitch next.

"And to All a Good Night"

"And to All a Good Night"
by the Prairie Schooler, 2010

Designed by Pamela Byrd Smith

Well, my work is very little different from the original template in fact!

Because, I preferred to keep it that way, rather than remove the crosses and stitch it again,

Although it is not appropriate to the original;I hope you like it too,

So

I wish all of you and your beloved ones

" a Merry Christmas"

and "a Happy New Year "

Warm Greetings
