Another Nordic Holiday .....

Hi all, I have finished my second Nordic ornament from PS Book #191 for the Christmas Ornie SAL May theme of "Reindeer".

Isn't he a proud, handsome fellow?

He is a companion piece to the April theme of "Ornament".

So pleased with my PS progress so far this year - I now have a few finishes under my belt.

I hope that you all are enjoying your Prairie Schooler stitching this year.

Finally, another PS finish for me...

Hi all, this month I really struggled with choosing a design for the theme of "Ornaments" for the Christmas Ornie SAL but after weeks of procrastination, I finally settled on this gorgeous Nordic ornament design from Prairie Schooler, which, of course, feed my PS addiction, too. So, double yay!

I used these two gorgeous Sajou cotton floss and stitched it on 28ct white linen.

I think that for next month's theme of reindeer for the Christmas Ornie SAL, I will stitch a companion piece, the reindeer in the top left corner.

Finally I can join the fun!

Hello:)

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting, and finally I had the money to order some Prarie Schooler charts online last month! I was thrilled to bits when I received them, I tell you! I know that you all can understand my pure joy, lol!

So, the important question: what did I get??
Well, after very careful consideration I picked these two books...

...as well as these two:

It was a bit difficult to decide which one I should start stitching first, but since I've fancied Christmas Tree Farm for ages, it just had to be that one:) Who can resist all those Christmas trees???
So, I have made a start on all those trees, and also a cute reindeer:

However, I also got a PS Santa, and of course it had to be a crafting Santa...

...which meant that together with the two PS Santas that were gifted to me by the lovely Brigitte , I have three Santas:

I'm stitching my PS Santas alongside Gominam at Stitch Niche, and after yesterday's Frolics I have come this far:

I'm one Santa short as you can see - empty top left corner lol - but I hope to order some more soon.
I already have my eye on the knitting Santa, which would look fab in the upper corner!

I'm also working on a PS ornament for the Christmas Ornie Sal but I'll show you that another day.
Now I'm itching to get back to my PS stitching, and hopefully I'll be back here soon with some finishes!

Thank you Kaye, for setting up this fab SAL where I can share my PS crush with fellow addicts, LOL!

I loved stitching this.....

Hello fellow Prairie Schoolers,

Well, I am quite early, for me, in posting this month - Yay!  At the end of last month I was scrabbling for what to stitch for March's theme for the Christmas Ornie SAL - Santa and/or one or some of his helpers, when I turned to my old faithful, Prairie Schooler, and found Book #63  Christmas Samplers

And then my eye was caught by the middle sampler, "The Night before Christmas" and then I saw Santa on his sleigh with three of his reindeers and Bingo!  There was my March choice.

I went to my stash and found some great Crafty Kitten overdyed 32 ct blue linen and two days later I was finished!  Woo Hoo!

(It is much bluer than this - if I get a chance to take a better pic later, I will!)

This piece, of course, also counts for  for DUCJFC2016.

Can't wait to see what everyone else stitches this month.

hugs, Kaye

Autumn from Book 50

I started this last fall but put it down when I started stitching Christmas things.  That Indian corn was a little fiddly.  ;-)  I have visions of "finishing" this in a wreath similar to what Priscilla did. She's such an inspiration!

Winter's Eve

I think I am hooked!!  My latest finish is another Prairie Schooler design... "Winter's Eve".  I stitched this as my Feb ornie for the JCS SAL on FB.

"Winter's Eve" - The Prairie Schooler
Just Cross Stitch Christnas 2015
I stitched this design on a piece of Navy 14ct Aida.... I haven't stitched on Aida for so long so it was quite nice to do so for a change!

The eagled eyed amongst you may notice a mistake or two... and a change in colour!  The bunny and smoke are supposed to be DMC3022 but as I didn't have that in my stash I changed both out.  I think I should have used a darker brown for the bunny as he blends a bit in the snow!

The main boo-boo was just a bit too major to frog everything so I have left it.... for some reason the house is out and of course that put everything else out!!  I stitched the border counting from the roof and then when it came to doing the trees I discovered my error! Oops.... never mind I think it still looks ok with the tree tops right up to the top of the border! :o)

So what PS design next I wonder....

See you all again real soon (I hope!)
Hugs xx
